Farmhouse Music Studio is committed to keeping students and teachers safe during the pandemic. By following best practices, we hope to minimize risks associated with COVID-19.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and flexibility as we work through the pandemic.
Monitor Your Child's Health
Students need to be in good health and symptom free to attend lessons in person. The list of symptoms can be found here: Symptoms of COVID-19
If your child has any symptoms that indicate he or she is not in good health, please keep your child at home. Alternative online lesson times can be arranged until they are symptom free.
Teachers who have any symptoms will notify students that lessons will be cancelled until the teacher returns to good health. Online lessons may be arranged until symptoms disappear.
Mask Requirements
At this time, Farmhouse Music Studio will make mask wearing optional for students. All teachers are vaccinated. If a parent wishes to have the teacher(s) wear a mask or face shield, please discuss that with your teacher.
Distance Requirements
Pianos will be spaced apart from each other, so distancing is a natural result of the spacing. Pick up and drop-off should be arranged with your child so that there is no crowding issue in the studio at the start and finish of each lesson.
Hygiene
Hand sanitizer will be available for students and family members in addition to soap and water in the bathroom. All students who enter must use one or the other to clean their hands before the lesson.
Instruments and High-Contact Areas
Pianos, door handles, and other high-contact places will be cleaned after each class. To minimize contact, furniture and fixtures have been minimized to reduce the number of contact areas in the studio.
Reporting Illness After Attending Class
If your child or a close contact contracts COVID-19, please contact the studio. The studio will notify families that someone in contact with the studio has contracted COVID-19. Farmhouse Music Studio will keep personal information private.
In case of exposure, the studio will go through a thorough deep cleaning. Online lessons may be arranged, or make up lesson offerings will be provided for future dates.
Once the cleaning is completed, the studio will continue safe practices.
